I am a psychotherapist in the area and am writing this review on Dr. Scargle from the perspective of another medical/mental health professional. I have discovered Dr. Scargle and I have quite a few mutual patients and I have yet to hear a negative comment regarding her treatment or demeanor. Her patients love her! Dr. Scargle is the most attentive and effective doctor I’ve ever experienced. She is a unique combination of the medical knowledge of a psychiatrist with the therapy knowledge and skills of a psychologist. Her diagnoses and treatment plans are always spot-on, which is a critical skill when dealing with mental health issues. I wouldn’t think of putting my health in the hands of anyone else.

Dr. Scargle has done wonders helping me understand what has been affecting me my whole life. She took the time to get to know me before diagnosing me, and we have patiently worked together over time to find the correct medicines that work best. She recommended a Psychologist that I also work with that is just as wonderful. My biggest fear is that they stop practicing and I won't know where to go to build the same kind of trust. I appreciate Dr. Scargle - she is a blessing in my life.

As a medical professional who is choosy about my parents' doctors, my elderly mother wouldn't still be a patient after many years if Dr. Scargle wasn't quite good at psychiatry (diagnosing & prescribing drugs only). Psychiatry is not an exact science. I have found her to be very professional, knowledgable, compassionate, friendly and easy to talk to. She's a good listener but ultimately her knowledge must prevail over a patient's treatment desires.

She diagnosed me bipolar, after 8 years of medicine hell my therapist and new doctor say I have ptsd and anxiety, she diagnosed me in 30 mins and put me on so many meds I wound up in the hosp. Stay away from her If you want a proper disgnose.

I've been under Dr. Scargle's care for almost 5 years now. She is very attentive and articulate. She describes her recommended treatment thoroughly and patiently answers questions. I feel she is conservative in her approach to medication management, opting for a few medications at the lowest dose possible.

The perfect combination of high technical skills, plus an exceptional ability to listen and analyze my personality, strengths and weaknesses, apply them to my circumstances and make spot on highly specific and practical changes which have been life-changing in the most positive way. Somehow, Dr Scargle can make these suggestions in a manner where you feel as if you have discovered them yourself.

She listens to everything I say. She gently guides our talk to the important things she needs to know. She's knowledgeable. Professional. Kind. Interested. She writes any difficult instructions out. She sends my scripts out immediately or writes them out to give to me if they're for later. I fax info on my Mom ahead of an app't. and the Dr. thanks me for it and acts on it. I'm a medical professional and have experience with psych Drs. and she's excellent in my opinion. I drive 1 hr. to see her.

She is absolutely the best Doctor in the world ! I have been with her for over 10 years and she is absolutely incredible...nobody can even come close to this amazing woman!!!
