Dr Melinda Surrency is the best. I drive 30 minutes or more just to take my fur babies there!
I love Scales & Tails and have been seeing them for a while since before they moved to the new location. I have used 2 other vets previously for my guinea pigs, but Dr. Surrency has been the best. She and her team have always gone above and beyond to help my two guinea pigs for everything from regular check ups to emergency surgeries to remove bladder stones. Don’t waste your time with this vet. I called and asked TWICE and estimate on how much it would cost to fix my pig, they told me it varies depending on weight. So I told them his weight, they still told me I need to come in to know. Obviously so they can get me for the $60 exam fee. So I drive all the way there and then still don’t get an estimate before the appointment started which is what I needed considering I only have $200-300 to my name. I love how Dr Surrency keeps up to date with new information about exotic pets! She took great care of my Texas Rat snake this past weekend with an abnormal eye problem and the medicine I took home with me has already resolved it! The team was also great with handling my squirmy five foot worm and they showed me how to give her her shots. Excited to show them her eye as it should look like when we go back for a check-up!
