This is a huge huge shoutout to Solana for all her hard work with managing our moms home and getting it sold. She has been so wonderful to work with and truly has gone above and beyond in making this process no stress for us. DO NOT RENT FROM SC REALTY OR FRANCES LAU!!! I rented a unit at 1519 Thurston Avenue for two years, and my experience was nothing short of a nightmare. very consistent in taking security deposits AFTER following the rules & paying for a cleaner on my own. will just scam you out of your deposit for anything, even if it was given that way. happened to my friends as well. do not recommend.
Very insidious business practices here. They rented me a 2 bedroom. In the kitchen, they skillfully hid a glaring hole in the kitchen counter top area. The hid it with a cutting board, as pictured. Additionally they stole $800 from my security deposit. $750 to clean the carpet and $50 for laundry. Both were already clean and stain free. I rent my place out in DC. I would never nor gave I ever treated people the way they treated me.
