Hoody and the Wolves played an early Saturday show - THEY ROCKED the joint!
Love this place and the music they have here. It's one of my favorite little Texas Honky Tonks. I especially liked Patrice Pike Band.
Dumpy, divey, and a whole lot of jivey. Wonderful immersion into the classic honky tonk in Austin. Great crowd, great service, good beer with a killer food truck outside. Happy hours with no cover are so worthwhile with the bands that add Tom the fun.
We don't get out as much as we used to, but when we do it's always the Saxon Pub. It's like our home away from home. We love the people and it's the Best sounding room in Austin! Hands Down! Go see/hear for yourself!
Friday happy hour at The Saxon listening and dancing to Denny Freeman and his fantastic band makes me happy for the rest of the week! Any other time is damn good, too! Great music, great sound, wonderful service and cool music lovers! Brilliant place!
Seen so many great people and heard so much wonderful music over 27 years here!! Friendly staff, not a bad seat anywhere, dancing encouraged, plus great draft beers. One of the few great landmarks left on So. Lamar.
