Previous Employee I noticed that people tend to comment on the 'overpricing' a lot, so I wanted to explain this to people real quickly. Savers is not simply a thrift store. The items that are donated are not free, as Savers pays The Arc for every donated item- even the ones that are brought into the store. The Arc is Saver's non-profit partner, Saver's pays towards their valuable programs, including battered womens programs, and all sorts of other extremely important life changing programs... Thus, Savers prices their items ... read more

Lots of selection, but needs washed I enjoy shopping at Savers because it is in a neighborhood full of thrift shops, and it is part of the list of stores I hit. It is a big store, and has lots of selection, but it is usually pretty dirty. Everything needs washed when it comes home, and I feel like I need to wash my hands as soon as I leave. But I have found some great deals there in the past.

SHIFTYS yes, SCAMMERS maybe, SAVERS no way! I have been to SAVERS many times treasure hunting like many, what I've concluded is. They too are after the ol mighty buck even more so? I am convinced they sell on ebay, I bought a picture there and with it was a post on ebay listing it for $250! They had $100 on it in the store, I bought it planning to just turn it for even $150 .

NON PROFIT??? The prices are to high 22.00 dollars for a used dress. I could go to the mall and by a new one for that. Plus if the tag color for the day is blue, the employee's take back the blue tagged shoes, clothes and other items so you can't buy the good items for a discount. Years ago the girls in the faimly would go and come back with bags full for fifty bucks. you can't get that now unless you get out of styles items and broken items. Two thumbs down:(

Saver Raised Prices in Order to Accommodate Their Supposed Discounts I still like Savers but not as much as I used to. Since they've started giving the 20% discount for your donations they have raised their prices WAY above what they used to be. That made me angry so I've been shopping at St. Vincent DePaul. The selection is not so extensive but their prices have stayed in line with what used clothing should be.

Too Much I used to shop at this store A LOT and thought it was awesome. Now, not so much. Their selection is not nearly as good and their prices have gone completely out of sight. Too bad. It was a great place to shop at one time.

Beware of designer knock-off purses at Boise Savers!!! I visited my local Savers today and happened to stop by the jewelry counter, where apparently they have started storing the "high-end/designer" items as well, including jeans and handbags. They had a "Louis Vuitton" and a "Coach" in the case, priced at $120 and $90, respectively. I like purses myself, a LOT, actually, and upon a closer inspection, the bags were KNOCK-OFFS!!! Louis Vuitton never locates their "LV" letters where they would be cut off by a seam, and the "Co... read more

Savers.. Great deals.. just gotta dig! I always seem to find great deals here. Great selection.. I just spent 3 hours there today rummaging through some great stuff! I spend about 20.00 there and came home with BAGS of clothes, silver wear, plates and other little neat things for my apartment. People walk in expecting to find a treasure or something really cool the second they walk in... but its all about digging deep!!
