A Nicely Organized Thrift Store With HIGH Prices!! If you like the thought of thrift store shopping, but don't go because of the clutter...Savers might be a happy medium for you. Savers is a very well organized store that has all the clothing grouped in sizes (go figure), and everything else in logical, easy-to-find places. You can find some incredible treasures there. NON PROFIT??? The prices are to high 22.00 dollars for a used dress. I could go to the mall and by a new one for that. Plus if the tag color for the day is blue, the employee's take back the blue tagged shoes,clothes and other items so you can't buy the good items for a discount. Years ago the girls in the faimly would go and come back with bags full for fifty bucks. you can't get that now unless you get out of styles items and broken items. Two thumbs down:(
Beware of designer knock-off purses at Boise Savers!!! I visited my local Savers today and happened to stop by the jewelry counter, where apparently they have started storing the "high-end/designer" items as well, including jeans and handbags. They had a "Louis Vuitton" and a "Coach" in the case, priced at $120 and $90, respectively. I like purses myself, a LOT, actually, and upon a closer inspection, the bags were KNOCK-OFFS!!! SHIFTYS yes, SCAMMERS maybe, SAVERS no way! I have been to SAVERS many times treasure hunting like many, what I've concluded is. They too are after the ol mighty buck even more so? I am convinced they sell on ebay, I bought a picture there and with it was a post on ebay listing it for $250! They had $100 on it in the store, I bought it planning to just turn it for even $150 . Saver Raised Prices in Order to Accommodate Their Supposed Discounts I still like Savers but not as much as I used to. Since they've started giving the 20% discount for your donations they have raised their prices WAY above what they used to be. That made me angry so I've been shopping at St. Vincent DePaul. The selection is not so extensive but their prices have stayed in line with what used clothing should be. Too Much I used to shop at this store A LOT and thought it was awesome. Now, not so much. Their selection is not nearly as good and their prices have gone completely out of sight. Too bad. It was a great place to shop at one time.
is this used or new? This store is selling used clothing and household items. but the prices are over the top. I could almost buy new clothes for the same prices. The store is dirty and a lot of the items are just really old and junk-like. There are much better thrift stores in town. The coupon days are worth it though if you can find some good items.
Depends on the day Usually, the associates are very busy. I find that most of them seem "put out" when you need special assistance. The store is pretty dirty. It is a second hand store so it is normal for items to not be in the best shape, but I think they need to take more time cleaning things up before they display them. Savers.. Great deals.. just gotta dig! I always seem to find great deals here. Great selection.. I just spent 3 hours there today rummaging through some great stuff! I spend about 20.00 there and came home with BAGS of clothes, silver wear, plates and other little neat things for my apartment. People walk in expecting to find a treasure or something really cool the second they walk in... but its all about digging deep!!
