Would LOVE to visit Savannah again. Unfortunately the city is tolerating a shocking amount of black racism. Alas, my family is white so I guess we are not wanted (and neither is our MONEY). And for ethical reasons, we won't be back. We NEVER spend our tourism money in places that are okay with racism.
This is a great way to plan your visit......love the event updates and restaurant recommendations.
Savannah is amazing! You can take long walks under the umbrella of the trees in each square, downtown, along the river, or along the beach on Tybee.
Speak out against mayoral candidates attending segregated ( black only) rallies.
I would not spend a dime here due to the fact the mayor allows racism an promotes it. Seriously an all black meeting with the mayor what in the world has happened.
Visit there with army friend who lives in SC. But we had another friend who was from Savannah. His name was Ronald Jones. Would like to locate him. Just loved the charm plus there is a lot of wonderful history. I’m not a city type person, but would love living there.
Heaven is two hours away from NYC.
I used to live and work in Savannah. I love it always ❤️ The old historical places and River Street ♥️
