I’ve been going to him for many years. Gives me a physical (including blood test) every six months. Last March l was diagnosed with prostate cancer by my urologist. When I asked Dr. Chandra why he had not detected anything in my blood test he replied that he did not order psa test after age 69. I was diagnosed at age 76. Dr. Chandra gives the impression of being thorough and competent during the first appointment and the care quickly goes downhill after that. We were ok until requested a referral to a specialist for my partner that was in severe pain. Though Dr. Chandra hadn't seen him in over 4 months, he determined that a referral wasn't needed and denied our request. No explanation why, not even a request to come in to see him for an exam. Dr. Chandra is very calm, kind, and perceptive. He asks a lot of questions and is thorough in his physical examination. Dr. Chandra is sensitive to the emotional state of the patient and treats the whole person.
