Sassafras is an eclectic “Chalkboard” style restaurant. The progressive menu allows our experienced kitchen staff to incorporate a myriad of culinary skills acquired over the years. We work closely with local vendors, farms, breweries, wineries, bakeries, and coffee roasters. Buying local allows us to present fresh, high quality food, and beverages. Our new setup has a stage, dance floor, and is nestled at a historic location next the the Carson Hot Springs in Carson City, Nevada.

A wide variety of dishes makes this place an adventure of food. That being said it is difficult to find a "favorite dish" as the entrees change frequently. It is also not a favorite stop of mine to grab a drink as the bar is well stocked on IPAs and Stouts with fewer other choices. Will i return? Absolutely. The food is memorable and the staff are very pleasant. The alcohol could use improving.
I think I contributed being a regular wen still in mo and Sluggos absolutely one of best food choices in Nevada and owned and run by a great couple that have vision and tony does it their way one of kind place best ahi!!!!
