I have been in therapy for over 20 years. Dr. Book is the worst experience that I have ever had. She is a Bully in and out of therapy. She personally threatened me on more than 1 occasion when she let her own emotions get the best of her. Dr. Book's decisions about changing medication or doses are made without reason, need, or explanation. She is manipulative and lets her own agenda get in the way of what is best for the patient. Honestly, Sara Book was one of the worst physicians I’ve ever encountered. Let me elaborate. 1) I was on 4mg of a dependence medication called subutex, which is difficult to get off of. I’d expressed wanting to lower my dose with the goal of eventually getting off of the medication. She encouraged me to enroll in a study she was running - but in order to do so, I would need to go up to 8mg, doubling my dose.
