I didn’t have many appointments with Dr. Gernhart before my delivery, but the experience I had with her on the day of my C-section was enough to leave a lasting impression. I cannot recommend this OB based on my experience. I arrived at the ER in active labor and progressed so quickly that my baby was already crowning. I had clearly stated that I did not want any cervical checks. Despite that, while I was in the middle of a contraction and actively pushing, she attempted to perform a cervical exam without asking for my consent. Highly recommend Dr Gernhart. I was a first time mom and high risk pregnancy (age and IVF) and she was always so patient and answered all my questions. She never made me feel rushed in my appts or that I was asking something “dumb”. She listened to my fears about delivery (baby measured big) and did not try to convince me to have a natural delivery. Baby was born via C-section and the recovery was so easy and very minimal scar.
I am 24 weeks pregnant, my last appointment with Dr. Gernhart was my 20 week appointment. I had my ultra sound went great, baby is health and measuring good. This is my first pregnancy and I’ve been enjoying growing a little human I never thought I would get but this baby picked us. She is a WONDERFUL very personable and attentive Dr! She recently delivered my beautiful baby boy and everything went as good as can be expected! Highly recommend her to anyone pregnant or needing an OBGYN!!! she is a wonderful knowledgeable and personable dr!!!
