My wife and I moved to Maine in the summer of 2010. We were looking for a rental home in the Portland area. We found Santoro Real Estate located in South Portland. We sat down with Lou Santoro to discuss the type of rental property we were looking for. Mr. Santoro found us a wonderful 4 bedroom house in the South Portland area and we have been extremely happy. Lou Santoro is an honest broker who will have your best interest in mind. We will definitely see Mr. Santoro when it is time for us to buy our home.

Lou really knows his business. He found us the best tenants you could ask for for our Cape Elizabeth house. They always paid their rent on time and kept the place immaculate. Lou took care of all the advertising, credit checks and screening.

I found my rental through Lou Santoro this past summer. He went beyond professionalism in securing the property for me while doing what he called "due diligence" on my own credentials. He manages the property for the owner and has since had to intervene on several issue such as heating, and, once, a gas emergency. He was prompt, helpful and immensely reliable. I am delighted to work with him.

Great guy to work with. There aren t many people who do rentals in the area, so it was nice to be able to work with someone who does it well. He took time to make sure our needs were met and everything was very clear.

I DO NOT recommend ever doing business with any one affiliated with this company. They are fishy from the get-go. They convince you that there are tens of people applying to get the same house so you have to put down a deposit to hold the house as yours. He'll say that there are "several others" putting down deposits so you better write yours fast. Unfortunately, this was the only house we could find to rent and we went through with it. Do yourself a favor and find another real estate agent. I recently contacted Mr. Santoro regarding several rental properties that were of interest to me. His website berates you with a flashing garish message stating that only those properties listed in red text are available. I inquired about 3 "available" properties and was promptly told that they really weren't available because he was "waiting on a check". Several days later I called back and was given the same story. very appreciative for finding Lou – Words just can't express the appreciation I feel for all you've done to make this dream a reality. It certainly was quite frustrating now and then - but it happened! I'm so happy it did and thanks for always keeping us in the loops, and for being on top of everything. It seemed rough at one point, but we got through it and I am so happy!!!
