this place is the absolute worst, with broken hand 3 cracked rib and a shattered scapula, they made me wait 8 hours in a metal chair without pain meds or assistance. I finally left and went to another hospital for treatment after being told some people were waiting over 11 hour in the waiting room. as so.eone with cystic fibrosis I am supposed to be in isolation with nurse whereing sterilization gowns and mask and this place left me in with all the sick people jepodising my health.avoud this place at any mean necessary!!!! e... read more

ER filthy and the Oder is unbearable. Toilets left broken for 12 hours. Couldn’t be seen in 14 hours. Never ever go here!
This place SUCKS!!! Been here since 2pm with chest pain. It is now 6:30pm. Next advise nurse that tells me to go to Emergency will be thoroughly cursed out!
Expect very long wait all the time cuz they have a lot of trauma patients. I've been admitted to Regional Medical Center Emergency in 2011 & I also waited for a long time (with an excruciating stomach pain). The VMC nurses & doctors are nice. Some of the RMC nurses/staff were rude! Tip: Bring your own food, drinks, pillow & blanket to get comfy in the waiting area 😉 They have vending machines (of course it won't be enough for 9 - 11 hours wait time). I saw a guy injured his left leg without giving him a wheelchair so he had to jump up and down at hospital. I got a bad cough but nobody asked me if I need medicine to stop it. When I asked window, their faces like zombies were telling you: please wait ...I am busy...I do not care about you no matter how sick you are. The rooms were mess and dirty.
I would like to thank you the VMC ED team for always using evidence based medicine. As a former Kaiser patient who has showed up and just been given antibiotics and blindly shuffled out the door with a wrong diagnoisis based on demographics rather than objetive data; I appreciate the time after what was a long wait because appropriate data was gathered while I was in express care via a CT and blood tests to help diagnose my throat issue and send me home with a more appropriate treatment.
