I found Dr Shah to be very cold and impersonal. After contacting me many days after my results came in, he didn't seem to have an interest in discussing an alarming prostate test result I had, and quickly offered to refer me to a "specialist." As it turns out, after switching doctors and leaving Scripps I found a doctor who ascertained that my high PSA was probably caused by an aggressive exam. When tested again later, my count had dropped back to the normal range.

My mother is 83, diabetic, has CLL, and -- after 4 days of excruciating headaches -- had a stroke 3 days ago. Dr. Shah has been her PCP for a couple of years, so in the days leading up to the event I wrote him messages to request an appointment. He never responded (even though nurses confirmed he had been given my messages to read), did not make time in his schedule to see her (even briefly), and did not follow up after she entered urgent care and was hospitalized overnight after an MRI confirmed the stroke. My father passed away today after being a patient of Dr Shahs for years . We struggled with my father over a number of issues but in the end I was so disappointed in the care we received from Dr Shah . I traveled from Boston many times for my fathers appointments . The last appointment I expressed some concerns and was cut off by Dr Shah’s abrupt dismal of words . We went home and he died 2 weeks later . Maybe if you listened , I would have got to say goodbye to my father .

One of the best physicians I have ever had. I live in Orange County but having Dr. Shah as my personal physician is worth the drive. He is thorough, extremely knowledgeable and up to date with the latest medical literature/ discoveries, compassionate, professional, and passionate about his patients. My entire family has been his patients for the last 10 years.
