Clean campground. Just be prepared its dry camping no electricity and no water at camp spots.
We came in with minimal expectations as it is a campground with a boat dock for day use. We expected baren and busy. We came prepared for the site we had reserved on recreation.gov Positives : the bathrooms were clean. Like very clean for a busy day use waterfront campground this was a huge plus. Our neighbors were friendly. Three Negatives: 1.) The camp host is a volunteer and the campground is pretty western. We found the campground spacious enough between sites. Access to water leaves alot to be desired. Pretty steep trails to get down to water. Of course its ok at day use area and boat launch. Not sure if Black Sandy has better shore access. Water spickets were down while we were there, under repair... Dump site is close by on your way to Black Sandy. Pit toilets were clean . Campground host was great, very helpful. Overall not a bad spot to stay overnight while you're on the road.
