The food is decent, but the coffee was quite bad. Overall, it's neither particularly great nor terrible. The service was notably slow, taking over 25 minutes to receive our order, which seemed to be the case for several other tables around us as well. The restrooms, were clean.
Chicken stripes are excellent
We stopped at Sandy Family Restaurant for breakfast and really enjoyed the old-school, hometown feel. The inside has a rustic Northwest look with lots of wood, a huge wooden American flag, stone fireplace, and carved bears. It definitely has the feel of a local family restaurant rather than a chain. I had the Ultimate Skillet, loaded with potatoes, meat, vegetables, gravy, and two eggs on top, with toast on the side. We also had the Meat and Cheese Omelette with breakfast potatoes and toast.
