I was distressed to find I needed a spinal fusion. I have worked for a spine surgeon and administrated an orthopedic clinic, thus I was somewhat knowledgeable on what was involved. After getting recommendations from two spinal hardware reps, I chose Dr. Teja. Best medical decision I've made ever. His surgical expertise is remarkable, his bedside manner patient and understanding, and he's completely down to earth. His office responds quickly to any questions and are kind and accommodating.
Ability to make appts and wait times good. Unfortunately for my consult, Dr Teja was called away for an emergency so I chalked up the 5 min he spent with me to that. Then on the day of surgery, I didn't see him before or after and they subbed in his assistant for my follow-up. I felt I was just a number not a person. Unfortunately either due to the poor after care (not sending home anti nausea meds), or poor surgery I still have herniation of the same disc and need to get a new Dr. Don't go
I have been visiting dr. Teja and his team for a few months every time I have gone I have not waited anymore than 10 or 15 minutes to see them it has been a great experience and they have been very helpful and informative and letting me know what needs to be done I would highly recommend them for anyone who has problems in this area.
Excellent Dr. He gives such complete answers, and cares about each question asked. He is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the neck surgery I had to have. I trust him completely. I have referred him and will continue to as I trust him with my health. Thank you Dr Teja.
Dr.Teja is a wonderful doctor. He is very thorough and make sure that you understand everything. HE showed me my MRI and explained everything to my. I am to my second appointment and my husband came late but he took and he took his time made sure we had all of our questions answered. He even took the time to reshow the models and explain the fusion. I have had 1 other back surgery and he is the 3 doctor I have seen in the past 7 yrs and I like him much much more then the other 2.
Never go to this man. I was sent to him with some neuro issues; Dr. Teja was extremely rude and uncaring. He said that I might have MS and requested I get an MRI, i received the MRI and when I went back in for my results he told me that it was not MS and that I was free to go. A year and a half later with the same issues I now find out I could have another neurological issue. Dr. Teja did care enough to look into the other options, he dismissed me and left me feeling hurt and confused. DO NOT GO
When I went in for a follow up review of an MRI he did not know why I was scheduled for the appointment, and the total visit was approximately only 10-minutes. Very short and impersonal with his office demeanor.
