Absolute worst and most unprofessional service! – I've tried this place a few times, the second time trying to give them another chance since they are near my house and both times were a disaster. They were horrible at waxing (NEVER have a stylist do it) and treated my hair like they were sheering livestock. The yanking and pulling - it was unbelievable. Beware of Pricing - Especially on Website! – The last few times I've been at Sanctuary in Eden Prairie (I've been at both) have been ho-hum. I've been going to another salon. So, now I have a gift certificate I have to spend. Thought I'd get a full-foil. Their website under Haircare and Make-up said $90. (No mention of all the variables that have to be considered.) I've seen better... – I have been to the Sanctuary several years ago and recently went back for some spa services. Overall, the salon is not too bad.. just outdated and in need of some renovations. Locker room and massage waiting area are not great, front desk and spa staff wonderful! Prices are high considering the facility, services make up for it though
Outdated & overrated! – I went to this spa because it was rated so highly with awards etc. I walked in to one girl at the front desk swarmed by a line of customers. (apparently they do not have enough staff on hand) After waiting for around 10 min, I was checked in by a dark haired, unprofessional looking manager. I got burned – I was burned by the wax after going in for a eye brow wax, the person I dont remember her name didnt tell me and both eyes were done. I had two large red burns where she had waxed that stayed for 3-4 days. I was not scarred only very scared and very insulted. When I complained I was told not to come back.to their salon.
Relaxing experience, super fun stylist! – Last monday I hadn my hair done by Leanna at Sanctuary. It was a standard cut and all over dye. I had zero waiting time. Staff was friendly and helpful. Leanna was the first stylist I have ever enjoyed talking to. Not only that, but she listened to my concerns about my hair "going red" when dyed. My hair is now a beautiful dark chocolate brown! Horrible customer service – I made a haircut appointment 4 weeks in advance at 5pm. I got a call on the DAY OF the appointment saying that my stylist was running about 20 minutes behind. No big deal. I got another call about 10 minutes later saying that some other stylist went into labor so my stylist was suddenly unavailable. I asked if I could get in with someone else and they scheduled me with a different stylist at 530pm. No big deal again. I show up at 530, check in and sit down. Worst spa experience I've had – I scheduled an appointment, which apparently no one entered into the system. So I had to wait. The lady I got was in a rush from the start, the eyebrow tint was terrible. I am fair skinned with blonde hair and it looked like i colored them on with black sharpie marker. I got my make-up done as well, which she also rushed through, I looked like I had escaped from the circus when i left...about half an hour later. Worst service I had ever had.
Hair Service-HORRIBLE! Spa Service-OUTSTANDING – I'm giving this a below average because of the awful hair experiences I have had. I told the stylist I wanted blond, came home red with black roots. Made an appt to redo it and she said she was going to charge me again. I refused, and they let me redo it for free, she STILL could not cover up my roots-WTF? Seriously awful.
