The SFSymphony got his one right as usual. The preconcert talk was informative and fun. The music was wonderful as it usually is. Amazing conducting by our 90 year old music director emeritus He made my day. I wish him joy.
Just attended the SFS Lunar New Year Celebration with friends & family including kids. Many other kids were there too! Overall, very good. End of 1st half was Tchaikovsky Rococo Variations, Opus 33, very long & complicated piece. My research could not find any Asian links with this piece and it looked like all the kids in the audience were talking to themselves or sleeping (some adults too). Not a good choice for a show that many first-timers are exposed to. Try harder in the future please.
