Lame This place is really dorky, like so many other places on Pier 39. They certainly do have a large variety of socks, but they're all kind of cheesy and nothing anybody I know would ever wear. It might be interesting to take your kids in there, but on the other hand that could be very dangerous. I recommend that if you are really into socks, you should just go online and order some rather than going through the hassle of visiting this store.
sock shopping! People do not normally get excited about sock shopping, but that is because they have probably never been to the popular Sock Market in SF. Who would've known that you could do so much with designing a pair of socks. All the colors, fabrics, and textures you can imagine. They have the most adorable styles for the girlie girls and sophistocated styles for the more sophistocated crowd. I especially like the winter socks that have a separate 'mini-sock' for each toe.
A store dedicated to socks on the Pier = dont go They are what they say they are. This place has a TON ofsocks, and pretty much just socks/stockings. They have every conceivable color, they have designs on socks, popular images on socks, they even have stockings with fine art on them. They also have those socks that have the individual toes, which have always creeped me out.
