This is my opinion about my experience. 0-Star. Buyer beware. Colonoscopy mill: rushed, impersonal. Left with suspected splenocolic ligament injury and bruised spleen (exam confirmed; no CT scan). 2+ months of slow healing; no tear, leak, or infection. No follow-up from doctor or center. Reported severe pain—splenic flexure (also called the left colic flexure)—upon emergence—told “go to ER.” Refused. No fever or vomiting. All costs and pain incurred by me. Avoid.

I was referred to this center as the center itself is in-network with my insurance. While no polyps were found or removed, and all labs were negative, the center sent the labwork to an out-of-network lab. Six weeks later, I am now on the hook for over $2,000 (so far) in medical bills after insurance payments. Blue Shield would have covered the labs in full if sent to the usual in-network labs (labcorp, quest, etc.). I am averaging two new bills a week from the procedure over the last three weeks.

However, my experience was nothing short of excellent, from check in to the actual procedure to follow up. I will return here for any procedure in the future. I noticed some of the reviews comment about subsequent bills - It is a bit annoying when you get follow up bills due to polyps or anesthesia or something - but that is an insurance issue, not necessarily the center's f... read more

I wish I had read these reviews before selecting Dr. Kwon's office for my colonoscopy. I had no issues with Dr. Kwon, but her office staff is beyond rude. I was in for a screening colonoscopy and two polyps were found and removed. I was charged because they found the polyps. However, under the Affordable Care Act, patients should not be charged if polyps are found during a screening colonoscopy. I am appealing with my insurance company, however, this woman Susan from Dr. Kwon's office threatened to send me to collection and ... read more
