This is a living museum in Golden Gate Park that is home to a wide array of rare and exotic plant life from around the world. Visit the 70-acre garden and explore seemingly endless trails with duck ponds, an arbor, herbs, flowers, blooming trees and redwoods, and smaller, specialized gardens with names like the Garden of Fragrance. We had the most enjoyable, relaxing time with so many flowers blooming and the beautiful landscape. I wish I had visited before! It's now my favorite place in SF and will surely return when in town.
This is one of my favorite places in the city. I take weekly nature walks through the park and I’m always delighted by its changing landscape. The blooming flowers in spring are spectacular and the pond is always visited by a heron or two. It’s a must visit!
A delight to see the California Pipevine Swallowtail butterflies fluttering in the California Native Garden. Please note the butterflies are camera shy ☺️. Be patient.
It’s a huge place, and worth every step. With plants and flowers from all over the world, it’s a much better place than the ridiculously crowded (and small) Japanese tea garden. It’s a gem hidden in the bustling metropolis that is SF.
Fun times on a field trip with my daughter's class. Beautiful & Must return.
