Amazing world famous zoo The San Diego Zoo is by far the best in the nation and perhaps the best in the world. One of only two locations in the United States with giant pandas, this zoo has truly earned its world famous reputation. Visiting not only allows you to see amazing animals in extremely well engineered habitats, but your admission, food, and souvenir purchases help to support zoological research that will save these animals in the wild.

Ok Zoo The San diego zoo is kind of ok and overhyped. There are some nice animals on display like the panda bear which are not displayed elsewhere but overall they have fewer animal exhibits and we found more humans than animals in this area. The restaurents in the zoo are quite expensive too.

a great way to spend a day The SD Zoo is amazing. Their exhibits are so neat to walk through, you forget where you are. With all the hills it can be a good work-out though if you decide to skip the bus tours and only walk.

san diego zoo the san diego zoo is a great place to take your kids for a day or two. they have some wonderful exhibits with lots of different animals from around the world, all in one place. they do a great job keeping the park clean, but the only thing i can't stand is the smell, which is probably what you think it is.

World class zoo The San Diego zoo is a world class zoo. The exhibits are built for the animals, not the spectators. You may not always see the animal, but it is the closest to the animals natural environments I have ever seen in a zoo. Check out the pandas!

sleepy when i went here i was so excited to see the animals but more than half of them were sleeping or hiding away which was so disappointing. it was still really fun though and the expensive food was always good

Expesnive and worth every cent Go ahead and take the kids to the zoo, better yet take a date. The zoo has something for everyone and if you bring your own food its not too expensive. Make sure you plan all day if you've never been there, you'll want to see some shows and have time to check out all the great exhibits. On occassion the food can be adequate, but face it thats not why you go to the zoo, so park and go!

World Class I grew up in Washington, DC where my dad was curator at the National Zoo my whole life. So, I know zoos!! The San Diego Zoo is outstanding. It is worth every dime purchasing a zoo membership. In the summertime, we go to the nighttime zoo and enjoy the spectacular extras like the painters and the living statuary. Albert's Restaurant is great for a nice glass of wine and light meal, making it worth the visit all the more!

zoo Prefect place for a family outing that is not only an enjoyable place to be at but also and educational place especially for young kids. The park is well kept and clean. There is a lot of parking and the area surrounding the park is just as great as the zoo itself.
