My doctor being on maternity leave, I’ve just had an appointment with another doctor to review the results of imaging that I had done. I feel I have thrown my copay ($30) down the drain. The report of the imaging was posted on MyChart. During the appointment that doctor had nothing more to add! Honestly I can read too, the report was written in plain English. I scheduled an appointment specifically for an annual physical, which under my insurance has always been fully covered. Here I was not seen by a physician, and I was never informed or asked for consent to bill the visit as anything other than a preventive physical. The appointment was less than 1 hour and was billed as two separate appointments. I was charged $70 out-of-pocket ($40 copay and $30 for basic lab work).
