I’ve been coming to San Diego Jewelry Academy for several years- this review is way past due. The resources, knowledge, and guidance at SDJA is unparalleled. I could honestly say that one of the best facets of my life IS being a part of the creative community at SDJA. Norma is incredibly skilled, and all of the teachers make the classes fun and welcoming. If you want to experience hands-on, dynamic jewelry marking or expand your creative skills in metal fabrication, apply to San Diego Jewelry Academy!
Can’t begin to say how incredible Norma was in helping us to make our own super customized rings. She was super patient and just hands on enough to make sure a good job got done, while hands off enough that you really felt involved in your own ring. Never said no to our ideas no matter how crazy they were. The process does take a while so I would block out the entire day, bring snacks and water, and eat beforehand. SDJA was a great experience!! The staff is extremely friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I was put on a wait-list and persistently emailed Norma to check if any slots opened up for the following session. Persistence paid off and a spot did open up for me. I attended a few sessions and eventually a spot opened up for my wife. She loved it as well.
