SDHRS is a volunteer-driven non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue specializing in domestic rabbits. We rescue, spay & neuter, litter box train and adopt out rabbits. Another part of our mission is educating the public about house rabbits.

They are helpful and have everything you would need for your bunny including boarding.
They showed real interest in the bunnies. They didn't just leave them in their cage. Everything wa s clean and the bunnies had toys. The bunnies seemed happy. I volunteered there. Everyone had this peace about them. my friend laughed when I told her this. She replied "of course they do they work with bunnies."
I called today, expecting no one would actually pick up the phone as with most rescues, and a very kind woman answered the phone. She was patient, informative and very giving of her time...helping me make a plan to adopt a special needs rabbit. After over 20 years of animal rescue and networking I admire and respect the work San Diego House Rabbit Society, Inc does. Rabbits are NOT considered companion animals like dogs and cats and, therefore, they are not afforded the same protection and animal rights even at most shelters... read more

This organization is not only dedicated to the education and health and welfare of owning a bunny- in addition, these beautiful bunnies are given so much love and affection. Great supplies and social events for new and ‘thinking about adoption’ owners.

Their rescue is very clean and the bunnies are well taken care of.
Great education classes, great store, great adoption services, great grooming services. They are just a great organization.
