The staff are uneducated. They play, talk, stay on cell phones, hide in rooms, sit on beds, take naps, and watch tv. They are more interested in their personal lives and getting away with not working. Then they complain about not being paid enough. The higher ups are always worried about not having enough staff. this place is a joke my wife works there and she has to work with some of the most racist black and Hispanic people she has ever met I told her to quit because I am sick and tired of her coming home totally stressed out and crying because of the way they treat her. she's treated worse than the patients she deals with and I have seen how some of them get treated by a lot of the PNA'S ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT I DON'T RECOMMEND A WHITE PERSON APPLYING HERE UNLESS YOU KNOW SOMEONE HIGHER UP BECAUSE YOU WILL BE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST

San Antonio State hospital was a life saver in 1985. They had a comprehensive rotating syllabus that would allow patients to receive all their classes, meetings and most of Hope. Learning how to live a normal life without drugs and alcohol. It is possible! They provide suggestions where to start. And offer support groups and one on one meetings with your own counselor.
