Dr. Book recently performed Mohs surgery on my eyelid. I’ve seen him since he was a resident at Yale under Dr. Lafell. His team is highly professional and caring. Delina, one of his nurses, was extremely helpful during the operation and followed up with my wife during aftercare.
The front desk is responsive and accurate. Excellent communication from RN and Dr. Book. Calm, clear, concise verbal and written communication during procedure. Providers are active listeners; clean office and procedure room; aftercare instructions are specific, concise, easily understood.Surgeon's hands came highly recommended by my dermatologist. My deepest respect for their expertise and integrity now extends to this team led by Dr. Book.I recommend this office without reservation.
I recently had Mohs surgery on my nose after being diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Dr. Book. From the initial phone contact with Patricia, and the procedure with Dr. Book, nurses Shira and Kathy, to the follow-up call the day after my procedure (so appreciated), my experience with the Center for Skin Surgery was exceptional. It was a pleasure having a dedicated, professional, pleasant team handle my care. Dr. Book and his staff were all very kind. Dr. Book took his time to explain everything, he told us what to expect, and reassured us that he would be available if we needed anything by providing his cell number. His assistant/nurse was very sweet and even allowed us a few 'dad' jokes as it calmed our nerves. What a great patient experience with Dr. Book and his entire team. Starting with ease of scheduling, to the day of my appointment (courtesy call that my appointment would be 15 minutes later and to come 15 minutes later), the level of patient care was great.
