What a great patient experience with Dr. Book and his entire team. Starting with ease of scheduling, to the day of my appointment (courtesy call that my appointment would be 15 minutes later and to come 15 minutes later), the level of patient care was great. Highly professional staff
I was quite concerned about my diagnosis and need for surgery. Was referred to Dr. Book in Cornwall and found everything very easy to deal with and the staff even more exceptional. Patricia was friendly and reassuring booking my appointment and ensuring everything would go well Cathy the nurse assistant took amazing care of me and Dr. Book did an excellent job removing my squamous cancerous tissue. Highly recommend this practice if you need skin surgery.
I recently saw Dr. Book for a Mohs procedure, as a new patient. Receptionist, Patricia, was consistently pleasant, courteous and helpful during scheduling, reminder call and in the office. She gave me confidence that I would be in good hands, and I was. Dr Book and his nurses were kind and informative. They were efficient and obviously skilled in their technique. While no procedure is 'fun', I had a very positive experience and would definitely recommend Dr. Book and his team. So glad that I found them.
If you're looking for an experienced surgeon with a calming bedside manner, a professional and caring staff and one whose procedures leave minimal scarring by using the best equipment and whose access during any follow-up questions or concerns then look no further than Dr. Samuel Book. I've had several procedures by other practices and Dr. Book's practice is far and away the best.
I had a melanoma en siti removed from my cheek. First time for this kind of procedure. All the staff were friendly and reassuring . Dr. Book explained exactly what he was going to do and relieved much of my stress. The nurses were great and explained aftercare in detail. The procedure went well, very little pain and the healing is amazing. I would recommend Dr. Book and his staff to anyone needing similar care.
5/30/23 was my first visit to see Dr. Book (in his Trumbull, CT office) for a Squamous cell carcinoma on my right leg. Not knowing what to except was pretty stress full for me so my anxiety was very high. Tracey, the nurse who assisted Dr. Book in the procedure was fantastic. I explained to her my reaction to needles and my technique to deal with them (Lamaze breathing) and she assured me that anyway I felt comfortable dealing with this was fine with not only her but the doctor as well.
