My daughter and I drove from Dallas to Sam's to meet my daughters coming up from Houston it's a kind of a Midway point for all of us had a great afternoon visiting with my daughters and a niece. The food was excellent with the best chicken fried steak I have eaten awesome experience. Great service and excellent food.
I have been stopping by for quite a few years, whenever I am passing through this part of Texas. I have never been disappointed, the food is great as is the service ... :-)

Hard to beat for just plain good cooking. Vegetable soup and cfs outstanding.
Love stopping here on the way home from the gulf coast...love my onion rings to go... patty melt was pretty delicious... love the gift shop!
This was our second visit..we loved it! Especially the fried fish...
