RecommendedFor a couple of years I drove a truck between Dallas and Houston a lot and used to stop at Sam's because you could park a truck there. I loved the buffet. Yesterday my wife and I were on I-45 and ate there for the first time in over 20 years and it was still just as good. I always thought the buffet was better than Golden Corral.

We have been stopping here for 25 plus years. Have always enjoyed it. We stopped there Friday on our way to Dallas && was disappointed! The buffet is open , they have gloves hanging && a sign to wear mask && use the gloves. But they are not forcing the issue! Ppl had no mask && were not using the gloves at all ! I choose to decline the buffet && asked for a menu. My waitress was not good at all ! Never asked why I changed my mind ever tho I was irritated. The food was excellent very clean it’s a buffet large selection for food and deserts. Service was excellent definitely will recommend to my family and friend
My grandma always had to stop there to eat as we headed out of town to start our vacation. That was in the late 60's early 70's. I'm 59 now and I'm still stopping by there. I love the food and the pies!
