Having had a successful c-section this January, I can say that my experience with Dr. Akbar has been wonderful from beginning to end. She has a great bedside manner and was, throughout, a very reassuring presence - never judgmental, dismissive, or flustered. My opinion of her was confirmed when nearly every nurse at the hospital (and there were many!) complimented Dr. Akbar's work (one called her incision a "work of art"). She is obviously well-respected at the hospital.

After having very bad experience with my previous OBG in the area I was desperately looking for a better Dr. I am so happy to select Dr. Akbar as my OBG. She is very kind and very smart professional. I was going for Hysterectomy and needed best advice. She gave me all options with pros and cons. My Hysterectomy procedure and recovery went pretty smooth as per plan.

I felt very comfortable from the first visit. It was my first child and I felt she was with me the whole way. Very professional informative and caring. Her whole staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend her to others.

I just recently had my first baby under Dr Akbar's care and I don't think I could have asked for a better experience. She is calm, informative, and very personable. I felt very comfortable with her and she delivered excellent care. Two of my good friends and my sister see her and they all love her.

She is the best. I chose her because one of my friend recommended to me and I am so glad that I chose her. Very informative, calm and sweet doctor. I will definitely going to recommend her and will chose her again for myself too.

I had my first baby under the care of Dr. Akbar. She is very thorough and up to date in her practice. She is kind and very patient. I always went in with a list of questions and Dr. Akbar took the time to answer all until I was comfortable. She is professional and excellent at what she does.

Dr Akbar is just awesome. In fact, I was waiting to share my review for Dr Akbar & I had to wait for 8+ months. The day we started visiting her, we knew that we are in safe hands. She is so good at what she does, she greets you wel, talks on minute details, listens to questions, gives time and she is very very friendly. I am very glad that I selected her as our OB even though her clinic & delivery location is very far from our home but its worth it. Her staff is nice too. Very nice practice...

I had Dr. Akbar on both of the pregnancies with Csection deliveries. I had good experience with my first one so with my second pregnancy w/o second thoughts I returned to be under her care. I have no complaints with her or with the staff as they will accomodate you & can be flexible with your schedule needs (if there is availability). The doctor will also gets back to you when she is paged during after office hours. She answers questions & discusses plan of care & what to expect along the way
