All of our food is prepared in-house, with a mostly "made from scratch" menu. We are praised by many casual dining customers as having, "the best wings and the best food anywhere." Our menu is prepared daily and includes: slowly cooked and tender baby back ribs, flame broiled burgers, hand-cut chicken fingers and buffalo bites. Great Place to Unwind – I don't understand the complaints about service - never had a problem with it myself. If you want fast service, Burger King is next door. If you want a place to go unwind, relax, enjoy some time with friends, get a drink or some good food for a good price, enjoy the many many big-screen TVs or a trivia contest, this is the place for you. I've been going to Sammy's for a couple of years and I must say that it has changed. The service used to be great along with good food, and a great atmosphere, but its changed. Instead of the staff that felt like they were good buddies you have a low budget attempt at Hooters. It used to be a place where your server guy or girl was down to earth and friendly, now some of the newer girls seem to have to much attitude.
Used to be good place – Sammy has excellent food, a great location and a warm decor. HOWEVER, as of the last few months the service has become DEFINITELY POOR. The Hooters-style bartenders, service and attitude is turning a real sports bar into a painfully annoying low budget hooters knock off. Until Sammy's FIXES their service, go seek some place else - don't waste you money !! OR be prepared for worse service in Raleigh. Remember you've been WARNED !!
State's College Bar – The largest sports bar near NCSU, lots of TV's with different feeds, lots of sports. Live music on Friday nights. Great trivia contest every Wednesday night. Fantastic food and good choice of beers. Has connection to NTN for those interested in trivia alone or with friends. Large outdoor section for warmer times as well. Staff is friendly, polite, helpful, and the women who work there are ALL beautiful. I love Sammy's.
Ultimate Sports Bar! – Sammy's sauce for the wings is UNIQUE and OUTSTANDING - a must for wing lovers! The caesar salad was A+, the mushroom burger was excellent and the philly cheese was a beauty! The monsterous quantity of fries and onion rings was enough for the whole table and they were nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection!
NCSU Lunch place – I enjoyed the food at Sammy's when I ate today, but I was a little disappointed in the slow service. It was by no means terrible, but I thought that compared to most restaurants around campus (who know that most of their lunch patrons are employees who only have an hour), it was a bit too slow for my comfort. I was too worried about getting back to work to enjoy my food -- which by the way was very good and reasonably priced. Friendly Service – Great Patio and lots of TVs. The service was really great. They kept track of everything. The food was amazing too.
