All of our food is prepared in-house, with a mostly "made from scratch" menu. We are praised by many casual dining customers as having, "the best wings and the best food anywhere." Our menu is prepared daily and includes: slowly cooked and tender baby back ribs, flame broiled burgers, hand-cut chicken fingers and buffalo bites. Love Sammy's!!! – Sammy's is an NC State institution. Whether you're meeting to watch the big game, having a drink after work, or finishing a round at the Lonnie Poole golf course, Sammy's is the place to go. Always a great atmosphere for watching NC State away games, obviously! And Sammy is always there to greet you with a smile and make sure you're taken care of.
Great beer, great service – I used to go to Sammy's every week while at NC State, and the smoking ban has made the place even better. I like the new outside. Plenty of TV's and lots of sports to watch We had a party last weekend for 30 people, and the management provided us with everything we had asked for. Our servers were great, very friendly, our beer glasses were hardly ever empty and we always had enough food. The prices were very reasonable and I would definitely recommend having any special occasion at Sammy's.
Raleigh's best sports bar – I've been going since Sammy's opened, over nine years now, and I'm there most days of the week. If you like sports, well, this is your place. With the multitude of big screen HD TVs and the ability to see any game or event you want, you'll feel right at home. They have wonderful and friendly bar service, and the wait staff is great. Best Sports Bar in Raleigh by FAR – Sammy's is awesome. The atmosphere for big games is the best in Raleigh (especially if you are an NC State fan or Pittsburgh Steelers fan). They have a million flat screen tvs (even some right at your table) and a huge outdoor patio. They also have tons of arcade games and NTN on several TVs. Sammy's: great trivia, very good wings An enjoyable eating experience was had by all at Sammy??s Tuesday Night Trivia last night. The first sample was the traditional "hot" wings and I must say they were ??strong? to ??quite strong.? The actual wing size was very good, with a consistently good crispy texture. Sammy's Tap & Grill is a good hangout Well this was the first place all our friends went together and it sure was amazing. OK...first things first the food in here is pretty good and they have a wide variety also . The time that we went we also a had live music which was good . For the money that you pay Sammy's is definitely worth it .
Sammy's Tap & Grill is cool place to hangout This place is close to the university and plays all the good games. Would definitely recommend the chicken with Sammy's sauce (its spicy :)) Good beer, decent music and the watching games fits into students wallet.
Worst service EVER – Our first server never came to the table to ask us if we needed anything....we had to get our own ashtray which was full and we had to eventually ask her for a clean one...the second server was a little better but 10 minutes before last call we ordered drinks and only one of them was brought to the table and we were told the second one was coming but there was an upset customer at the bar....we finally went to the bar to get our own drinks and were told it was 2:05 when it was actually 2:58. they need mo... read more
