Saturday I went to well now u/c with my daughter Isadora, she had a weird bruising rash on her stomach. They sent me to the er for imaging. Although samaritans systems were down they took her right in. We ended up needing further testing and they transferred her to upstate. But if not for one of the nurses in samaritans ED pointing out the rash went onto her back as well in a weird circular pattern, we wouldn’t have had her tested for Lyme disease at upstate. Even the attending doctor there wasn’t sure and only tested becaus... read more

Hi Mara, thank you for taking the time to recommend Samaritan! We are so happy to hear about your positive experience here, and we wish the best for your daughter.
I do not recommend ever going to the hospital for any reason. I have my own and now my family also has their own. Do yourself a favor and go straight to Syracuse.
Dear nurses and future nursing staff the job you do is important and I appreciate those who work hard at it. But to people like Brittany from Samaritan medical center in Watertown You need a serous attitude adjustment and some lessons in bed side manor. When most people go to the hospital it’s on some of the worst days of there lives. I can’t speak for everyone but I’m 23 and possibly dying. I’m beyond scared, anxious and stressed. The last thing I need is for Brittany to be rude to me while I’m trying to compose myself befo... read more
I was admitted on Monday after returning back to Er from Sunday. I have to say that it was completely scary at first not knowing what’s going on but I felt so welcome from everyone with a SMC BADGE. The 4th Floor Nurses, Assistant Nurses the whole team really made me feel comfortable. Housekeeping to dietary/cafeteria staff went the extra mile to see if I needed anything tho it wasn’t part of there job Description they still stopped and went the extra mile to make sure I was all set before leaving my room. And always Entered... read more

Hi Billy, we are so pleased to hear about your positive experience here. Thank you for taking the time to recommend Samaritan!
My 10 year old was bit by a dog and we waited forever to be seen. Finally put in a room to only wait for longer. We ask the nurse for a blanket because he was freezing, she said okay and never came back. Mind you this wasn’t a scratch, he had to have stitches. Worst hospital around. I will never come here again.

Visiting from Colorado and had to get checked out and was very impressed with how professional and nice everyone was including the provider! Thank you for the great care!
They lost my bloodwork. Not once but twice. And the billing department will not fix it with my insurance so I am paying out of pocket for LOST bloodwork results.
