Absolute worst in the state. Many instances of poor service and unprofessionalism. Recently my wife used the emergency room for breathing issues, she was there for 6 hours while they ran 3 tests. 6 HOURS! she needlessly to say grew impatient with the poor service and they tell her if she was to leave before the test result then insurance wouldnt cover it. The nurse Abbie Young Rn wa so rude when calling from out of town to check on my loved ones , she hung up in my face while i was trying to talk and we was so worried back at home . it’s just unprofessional and made us worry even more about what type of nurses we had to put our trust in for our loved one who is on a military base and had to seek medical care nearby.
Never in my whole life have I seen a worse run hospital. As a nurse myself now having been a patient here, highly recommend you go ANYWHERE ELSE than this hospital. Syracuse is far but you’ll actually be taken care of there and not have your legal patient rights ignored. Patient relations is also just an answering machine that no one follows up with even if you call the number for days in a row leaving messages.
