After searching for help during a mental health crisis, the Samaritan PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) ended up being the only place able to help me. I was brought into their three-week program, and I couldn't be happier with how it went. I felt thoroughly supported and appreciated, I learned so much and grew even more. The mental healthcare system in America is a joke. They defunded mental health in the 1970s and here we are in the most disgusting and dangerous system imaginable. You can by in full blown psychosis and they will say you are fine and discharge you because they don’t have the beds or staff to actually care for you. Moved here PCP said they can't do mental health meds. So I get started here. Went through assessment diag w two Drs. New Dr. stopped filling my meds and said PCP needs to... didn't tell me I had to find out on my own when my meds weren't refilled. I missed two appointments no attendance waiver given. MULTIPLE apts removed canceled by them and then told me I missed apts that were never even made.
