As a single person I get the impression that single diners are strongly discriminated against here. I went for dinner on Saturday and breakfast today and both were similar experiences. Today- Several parties of two or three who arrived AFTER me were seated within 5-10 minutes of arrival while I waited 25-30 minutes after being quoted a 15 minute wait time. Best place is Nags Head!! Would eat it everyday!!
RecommendedMy family and I have been going to S&O for over 20 years and I don’t t eat breakfast anywhere else! The friendly staff, the casual and comfortable atmosphere plus the great menu makes it our favorite spot! We always go several times when we’re there for the week and definitely a must for lunch on our day trips! I just feel at home there!!!

Outstanding! Delicious food, friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely a must when you visit the Outer Banks!
The food was AMAZING!! Some of the best I’ve had down here! The service on the other hand not so good...our waitress just seemed preoccupied and kinda rude really! She was not attentive at all and never offered refills until she came with the check...I had already went to the bar and got my own tea refill by then!! Food was out of this world though!
We always make sure we eat at Sam & Omie’s at least once every trip — food is excellent and love the atmosphere.
