I will start off with the good - the nurses. The nursing staff was amazing. That.. that is about it. One star, thats for the nurses. My teenager was transferred here from Sharp because Sharp ER wanted a Lumbar puncture to rule in/out Guillian barre syndrome. Sharp wasn't allowed to do it since he was 16. Spinal MRI showed nerve issues combined with not being able to walk after a viral infection. Everything was pointing to GBS. This is the worst Emergency Room that I've ever had visit. My five year old son has been waiting over 3 hours to get a couple of stitches in his face. I was just told that it will be at least another hour before we can even go to the back. I just spoke with the children's ER close to home in Orange County, and they told me their longest wait time was 1.5 hours. If you love your child, take them anywhere else but here.
Unless your child is in cardiac arrest or missing a limb, they will not be seen and you will be waiting a very long time. Bring your pillow and sheets you’ll be there for a while. Absolutely absurd how long you wait at this hospital.
Out of all the times I’ve been there this year (2025) we have been attended in a timely matter with the proper care and that’s all I can ask for in a ER hospital. Thank you.
