I’m writing this review in the hope that what I experienced today will be improved in the future. This restaurant used to be my go-to brunch place. I’ve always loved its casual, homey atmosphere. Sam A.M. was recommended to me by several people in Jersey City, but unfortunately it did not live up to the hype for me. The staff were genuinely very nice and welcoming, even during a hectic weekend service, which was a real positive. There is indoor and outdoor seating, but the outdoor seating is mainly for takeout guests, so it can be difficult to get a table outside on weekends. Food-wise, our experience was mixed. Such a cute little breakfast/brunch spot! My mom & I stopped by yesterday before my tattoo appointment & we were so glad we did. The Paulus Hook neighborhood has a cute vibe that reminds me of Manhattan. The only downside is the parking 😕. It's all street parking, so it can be challenging to find a spot. Awesome cozy breakfast spot. Feels like your family is cooking you breakfast at home. Take out for a coffee or pasty is quick if you don’t have time to wait.
