Slipping We've always loved dining with the Garozzo family but this restaurant is slipping in recent months. It seems that you can only get good service if you are a "regular" - if you're unknown, your table is ignored. The last time we went, the salad (which is normally fantastic!) was wilted and the lettuce tasted bitter. The food was served lukewarm - definitely not as good as they used to be.
Great Authentic Italian Cuisine I love going to Salâs any night of the week. If you love a laid back fine dining experience, I would highly recommend this restaurant. They have a great wine list, fantastic Italian dishes and great wait staff. Definitely one of the best in Independence.
It's okay, but we probably won't return The staff at Salvatore's is super-friendly. The food is decent (nothing like the Italian you get in New England), but not great. Even though the staff is nice, the service is awfully slow. The dining room was extremely hot and the bathrooms were filthy. The food is expensive for what you get. I'm glad we had a restaurant.com coupon so we could try it out.

We’re regulars but I just wanted to share that this is our first dine in at Salvatore’s since COVID and the remodel. We have ordered take out and as always its exceptional. Todays dine in was especially good. Probably the best spiedini I’ve ever had was here tonight. Loved the remodel that freshened up the place. And the outside patio looked awesome. Staff are always attentive and responsive. My family and I still love this place. Please keep it up. And bring back lunch!!!!

I asked for Salvador's for my birthday. it is one of my favorite places to eat. So glad in the quarantine that they have drive up. Had a fantastic birthday dinner!!!!
