I love you guys, made my birthday a night to remember!
To do something different, we took the CTFastrak bus to Hartford to go to Salute Restaurant. They asked me when I made reservations, if this was a special night. I said it was for celebrating our engagement. We got a nice table and an even better waiter named Scott, who was very attentive and friendly. Our dinners were excellent, chicken parm and shrimp piccata. Seeing as dinner was for our engagement, they surprised us with a wonderful dessert.
Had the Shrimp Fra Diavlo- delicious!! Garlic bread is always good and we took our usual 2 loaves home to cook at a later time. One of our favorite restaurants in CT.

Found this place by accident. Glad I did shrimp 🍤 were plump and popped when you bit into them. Bolognese was the best I've ever eaten. Pasta "al dente" veggies firm but tender. Simply delicious. Wanted to try so many items on the menu, I made a reservation before I left to come back in three weeks. A must if you're in Hartford!!!
