We waited forever for drinks, then another 20 minutes before we saw the server again to order food. Then it took an hour for the food to arrive, and the wing chips were cold. People came in after us, ate and left before we even got food. Then we had to wait another 15 minutes to pay. The upside is that the wings were really good. Not 1.5 hour wait good, but good. 7 people at 1 table, me at another! Took at least 40 minutes to get my food. Same for other table. I had time to drink 3 beers and a soda before food came. I got fried fish and oysters. Cooked to death. Oysters were crunchy and fish was greasy. Sorry, but they are better choices in Maggie Valley. This was not a one-time deal. Last time we we're here, waited forever for food too.
Great food! Awesome atmosphere! We always stop on our way to Cherokee.
Wings were off the hook delicious..as was the tuna sandwich. Beer icy cold and our waitress was extremely nice.

We went here Saturday afternoon & waited over an hour & didn't even get the stinking salad! My fiancée went STRAIGHT to the bar to pay & I waited in the parking lot. The useless waitress ran out of the restaurant frantically looking around, saw me & told me we left without paying! I told her that he was at the bar paying for our drinks only, which we had to beg for {asked THREE times which took a good 20 minutes} & she wanted to argue! Waited over an hour for an app. And never received our food won't be going back EVER !

I am sorry you had a bad time. We had a cook walk out during our lunch rush which left us short handed. There is no excuse for having waisting your time.
Since finding this little place, the food has always been excellent. They have recently remodeled the dinning area. There is separated entrance and much needed update looks wonderful. If you are in the mood for some good tasting seafood, give Salty Dog in Maggy Valley a try. There is also a bar area where I am sure friends meet and enjoy the entertainment.
