Get a new bar tender. Or, maybe teach her how to be more pleasant.
"It is what it is." It's about as far from a trendy brew pub as you can imagine. Don't dare ask for an I.P.A. It's old-school in all the best ways. Take cash, as they don't accept plastic, order at the bar, take your drink and sit down where you can eavesdrop and soak up the funky, quirky ambience. Oh, and don't use words like "ambience." � Seriously, I loved this dive--worth s look-see for sure.
Don't miss this Homer destination. It's the place that everyone who's been the Homer stops. You just never know who you'll run into!

The bartender was very rude. Also, you should take down all the money and donate it to a charity. Then you could start over.

The first time I visited the Salty Dawg was in the Spring of 1965... Snow banks still on the streets. Had a good time
