Food is great...but, as someone who worked as a server and a bartender at Saltgrass 12+ years ago, the to-go/call-in situation at the Mesquite location is nothing short of a disappointment every time. The last 4 or 5 times I’ve called in an order, I’ve waited on hold for at least 8-10 minutes, at times longer, until someone comes on the line after being transferred by the hostess. If I order a steak at Denny's, I sincerely expect a level of disappointment and confusion when trying to explain to my waiter what the definition of a medium steak is. This should never happen at a steak house where I am paying $28.00 for a ribeye. It should not be cold. Or white inside. If the waiter has to have a discussion about what color it is after seeing that the meat is CLEARLY overdone, you do not have a steak house. You have a problem. Everything was awesome. Great meal and reasonably priced, especially for the amount of food you get. My only beef is that we love the Seven-seasoning and so do many of our friends. We live in Canada. Can’t get it there. Only bitch. Think Canadian...like Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
