Used to be the best I have used salono salono for 5 yrs, and just last month i decided to stop going. The last couple of years the service started becoming sloppy and it seemed like my stylist {that i had for 5 years}started slacking on the products and she stopped styling my hair at the end. Do not go there! This is an "upscale" salon where I have had my hair done on several occasions. Recently, the salon has gone down hill and the customer service is below acceptable standards. On my latest visit, I had a hair color,highlights and a cut. I was unhappy with my haircut the day after and requested a touch up. When I arrived, I was told there was nothing wrong with the cut and the stylist (LIZ) refused to re-cut my hair. I left a message for the owner who never returned my call. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I have been going to Bruce, the owner of Salono Salono, for 18 years. I have always found the staff friendly, helpful and very professional. I am always offered something to drink when I arrive. Bruce is always on time for my appointments. The prices are comparable to other salons in the area and the decor is timeless. Award Winning Misleading Salon Was refered by a coworker so looked this salon up on the internet & made an appointment. After paying them a visit it is understandable why they have NO pictures of their establishment on the web site. This place is NOT like a day salon at ALL & does not at all reflect the expensive prices they charge. Looks more like a bad attempt of a dated urban hair salon inside. Nan P I will never patronize this business again - learned my lesson the hard way! I made an appointment for partial foil and ended up having to pay more than twice what I expected because they claim I 'agreed' to full foil, cut, blow-dry and style. I guess you have to protest "no" loudly if the stylist even picks up scissors or another tool? What a rip off!!! AVOID I won a gift certificate($250.) at a fund raising auction - I had a facial which was ok. I had three hair cuts. Ths first was ok - I have very thin hair and if it is not cut properly it just lays flat. It was fairly flat. The second cut - my hair was cut with thinning shear in the back on one side but not the other. The made a significant cut line in the back of my hair - my husband noticed it. The Place STINKS ! I use to love going to Salono, now I wouldn't take my dog there. I have never felt so ignored at a salon in years. I waited way to long for my appt. while my stylist was busy getting tea and complaining about how much her feet hurt from last night partying and the ones she had on. Bruce does AMAZING work I went to the Salon yesterday for highlights to my hair and an Anti-Curl for my daughters hair. I've lived in NOVA and have always had my hair done in NOVA/DC for the last 15 years. Since we've moved to the Fredericksburg area, it was time to find a local hairstylist.
