Not what it used to be I, unfortunately, have to add my agreement that this salon has gone into disrepair. When the cut and service is good you can look past the aging looks and decor, the gossipy stylists, the lack of customer care but things have changed. AVOID I won a gift certificate($250.) at a fund raising auction - I had a facial which was ok. I had three hair cuts. Ths first was ok - I have very thin hair and if it is not cut properly it just lays flat. It was fairly flat. The second cut - my hair was cut with thinning shear in the back on one side but not the other. The made a significant cut line in the back of my hair - my husband noticed it. Bruce does AMAZING work I went to the Salon yesterday for highlights to my hair and an Anti-Curl for my daughters hair. I've lived in NOVA and have always had my hair done in NOVA/DC for the last 15 years. Since we've moved to the Fredericksburg area, it was time to find a local hairstylist. The Best in Town I've been in the F'bg. area for 9 years and have gone to Salono Salono for the last 4 years. Prior to using Salono Salono, I had to commute to Richmond to get my hair done by a great hairdresser I had gone to for ten years. When my hairdresser in Richmond moved to another city, I had to find a new hair salon and stylist. My friends highly recommended trying Salono Salono downtown. The Place STINKS ! I use to love going to Salono, now I wouldn't take my dog there. I have never felt so ignored at a salon in years. I waited way to long for my appt. while my stylist was busy getting tea and complaining about how much her feet hurt from last night partying and the ones she had on. Nan P I will never patronize this business again - learned my lesson the hard way! I made an appointment for partial foil and ended up having to pay more than twice what I expected because they claim I 'agreed' to full foil, cut, blow-dry and style. I guess you have to protest "no" loudly if the stylist even picks up scissors or another tool? What a rip off!!! Salono Salono is MOST DEFINATELY WORTH EVERY PENNY i have been a customer of salono salono for several years. i have always had a great experience. i have looked at the other responses. it seems like some people are in need of a psychiatrist instead of a stylist. especially after seeing how they spell. when i go to a salon i dont expect a lesson on what's performed on my hair. i am more interested in the outcome. i would also like to add if i ever had such a bad experience, ( in pain, or no reading material etc) i would let ... read more
over priced i wouldnt reccomend solanosolano.they are over priced and the girls that work there...lets just say not what i would expect from an upper class slaon! Too much money for such litle done and so so service I walk in I see two employees in the corner and one is talking LOUDly and complaining someone stole her make up and some cursing then I sit there and wait. I get taken to my chair and I tell the lady what I want. She never asked what color I wanted my hair or if I wanted it cut and or what style I was looking for.
