Bad Extensions – I went here for extensions, which I got to make my hair fuller. The stylist told me that the extensions would match great with my hair and be the same texture. When she put them in, they looked great, but after I got home and washed them, the texture of the hair completely changed (they must have been straightened before they were put in). Best colorist in the business – I have been in the market for a new stylist; I recently moved to chicago. I was refered to Vi at salon de vive so i looked them up on city search and Vi had quite a few amazing reviews; so i thought i'd give her a try. I have to say that my hair looks the best it ever has. over priced and don't listen. not worth it – Um, okay. I've never paid $70 for just a hair cut. Not only that, but I specifically asked the bald man cutting my hair to not layer the front to much because i didn't like how it looked when done that way. Not only did he still do it, but he didn't even blow-dry my hair all the way! What exactly did I pay for? A style I didn't want and a wet head, thanks. I wouldn't go back, there are way better places in the city.

A Chicago Treasure – You must go and experience this salon. Vi has been highlighting and cutting my hair for 17 years! She's the best. Her coloring technique makes me look like a natural blonde and the cut always get me compliments. Plus, Stephanie gives a wonderful facial using Aveda products that they also sell. Consistently good, easy conversation, cosy atmosphere – Emett Hodge is THE BEST! I've paid $300 for highlights and haircuts at gold coast salons and come back disappointed EVERYTIME. Until I looked up city search and found Emett. I'm never going to anyone else as long as he's around! awesome hair extensions 5 stars – I found this salon on citysearch when I was looking to get my hair extensions. Vi had great recommendations so I went in for a consulation. She matched my hair color and type perfectly. My hair is curly and my extensions could be worn curly or blown out straight for however I wanted to wear my hair. Great staff and service, prices, and cosy atmosphere. – I've been a performing musician since I was a teenager. Wonderful Salon! – This is a wonderful salon. It has a very cozy feeling - you always feel welcome. The hairstylists are all very down to earth and very very friendly. But the best part is my hair always turns out AWESOME! My hairstylist, Lina, is fantastic - she really knows what color highlights look best on me and what hair style works for me. And I should mention the prices are so incredibly reasonable for a salon with their type of service, knowledge and experience. I am glad that I found this salon.
