I looked up Salon Jax for an appointment with Marlene, the owner, but she had relocated which seemed suspicious. The salon felt like a warehouse. Marlene canceled my appointment last minute, showing unprofessionalism. Avoid at all costs. Not recommended.

I dropped by in-person today without an appointment to get my hair washed and cut; luckily they were able to take me. The wash ($10) included shampoo and conditioner and was very relaxing. Mao cut my hair ($45) and then gave me a blow out ($30). My hair is naturally curly but he was able to accomplish so much with just a blow dryer - I was amazed. This is easily the best haircut experience I’ve had in Jax. Definitely recommend Mao and this salon.
