I got this service back in 12/2025, and the experience truly stayed with me. I booked the appointment based on location and it was with Kelly Olafson. Upon arrival, I came in and stood there for a while, before a stylist told me to take a seat. Kelly came out shortly after. Alyssa is truly the best. I’ve been going to her for years and she never misses. I’ve booked last minute with other stylists at Salon Astoria before and she, too, was great! The salon has a great atmosphere; I always feel welcomed! Highly recommend booking here, and I don’t say that lightly!
Overall, the price point for a full foil is competitive and a good value proposition. The hallmark of a great salon versus an average one is consistent quality across stylists and excellent client service. A great salon makes a client feel welcome and has receptionists to greet us. The atmosphere was bright and relaxing. However, if you have Asian black hair looking for hair color treatments, i recommend going elsewhere. They charge “extra” for bowl of color used because they can’t achieve the color you want. I ended up spending $400+ for a hair color to only last 2-3 weeks. I was really excited when I saw this salon in Instagram. I appreciate the stylist’s effort but this will be my first and only visit here.
