I wonder why I never went here in spite of both of us having been in Portland for close to a decade but then I guess things only happen when they are meant to happen. I would not go anywhere else for salon services. She is courteous, prompt and thorough at her job and it clearly shows that she cares about the well being of her clients beyond their time at the salon by giving her recommendations based on experience.

I had such an enjoyable experience at Amrapali Boutique! I wear plus sizes and finding clothes that are comfortable and fit well - in Indian or American styles - is such a challenge. The selection at Amrapali is amazing, as is the quality. I had such a fun time chatting with Sushmita, who was friendly and helpful and answered all my questions, and was funny too! You don't get that kind of shopping experience at department stores. I'll definitely be back!
It has a great collection of exquisite Indian handicraft for all pockets! Love their stuff. Sushmita also has a salon in the boutique and I am a regular. Sushmita is the only person I'd allow to work on my face. :)
